The term “Church Planting” is often used to describe the process of starting a brand new congregation in some local neighborhood. In reality, we can view “church planters” as domestic missionaries. Church Planters sense a call to build a local body of believers, often starting with a group of committed Christians who will attend and serve in the new congregation. Of course, the goal of evangelizing unbelievers is not forgotten, but in the beginning, it may not be in the forefront.
Church planting may be a greater challenge today than it was a decade or two ago. It may require a greater tenacity, greater finances, and greater amount of human resources. However, if God is calling you to this ministry, then none of the above “greaters” matter! It’s God’s work, not yours! You’re the tool in God’s Hand, and it’s a blessed position to be in.
If you are in the position of being called to start a new local congregation, then allow me to encourage you to seek out the resources that can help you. The better part of wisdom is to search out the counsel of those who have gone before you. One of those tools may be our eBook entitled: “Raising Support as a Church Planter.” This book has plenty of ideas and tools to help you do what you need to do.
We can help. Feel free to write us, pose questions, make comments.

STRATEGIC REPORT FOR JUNE 2011
There is great amount of improvement in aspect of church planting movement [C.P.M]successes have been made in this direction.
We’ve visited about six communities among the nine [29] established communities with three [13] church planters within these areas of operations are too splendid by the grace of God , meetings, trainings and Baptism were conducted in the various communities like, Kambadu, Kanekor, Komboma and Gandorhun the head quarter town of Gbaneh chiefdom.I also visited Fuyeroh ,Moiyema in Tankoro chiefdom respectively.Fifty [50]lives were given to Christ and fifty new converts were baptised with some stakeholders like counsellors, youth leaders in Gandorhun and Kambadu.
On the18thJune,2011 I met with the church planters on a short meeting at Kanekor and explained to them the task at which the ministry call to which is the great commission movement given to call out once by God.
They pledge their commitments if only some of the needs and recommendations of the church planters and the community people are adhere to ;
DEVELOPM; Regards to development through the effort of the church planters and co – operation with the communities, three temporal structures have been constructed with palm thatch roof on them. Some communities used the public structures,like youth centres, barrays to keep their service.Which everybody knows what it means.
CHALLENGES; Even though with such development made by the communities,there are still short term and long-term challenges.Also some communities used mats,Congonsa benches from their various houses.Lack of beating drums,lights,etc.
With regards to developments,no development has been undertaken yet by the ministry since the establishment of the church planting movement [C.P.M.] program in any form in that part.[Northeast of Kono district ].We are talking about over eight hundred [800] membership.
